OH MY GOD THIS MEME IS MADE FOR ME

so basically since canon is currently screwing me over with giving me anything to work off of (AH HA HA... ha ha... ha...) I do have quite a bit of headcanon for Nageki! but nothing about his past because I haven't really settled on anything that I really like yet.

here's just some of it, but really, feel free to ask me about anything!
• He has a huge sweet tooth! He just doesn't like admitting it fkldgbjdf
• He'll read just about anything but he prefers fiction over non-fiction, especially something with a strong moral/philosophical meaning. In canon he's noted to have read Night on the Galactic Railroad and in the full version he apparently reads A Christmas Carol.
• He's a very analytical reader, so he's able to pick out all the motifs and metaphors and deeper meanings in a work. (basically he'd be good in the typical English class kfdsgjbdf)
• This is awkwardly phrased, but... he liked Hiyoko (protagonist) pretty much ever since she said that she liked books, but it was something that he didn't realize for himself until the canon point I took him from. The doki was there but he didn't really know what it was or know what to do with it until months later.

... Huh. Well, I go back and forth quite often about Nageki's backstory situation-wise (like WAS HE BORN IN AMERICA AND HIS FAMILY MOVED OVER TO JAPAN or WAS HE BORN IN JAPAN AND JUST STUCK OUT AS A SORE THUMB or WAS HE ADOPTED) but I do think that he's always been quiet and a little socially awkward. He just tried harder when he was younger to get along with others and to talk and all that. I like to think he was successful with getting friends so he had some happiness (though I also think he was bullied for being a mourning dove fdklgbj).

If he's good at English, how would he be in other classes? Math? Science? Art? Speaking of art, if you gave him a thing of clay and said "make something important to you" what would he make???

Overall, I think he'd be a student sitting around a B average. His grades in English (and history, since that's basically non-fiction reading reading all the reading) would keep him up, but math and science would knock him down. He doesn't really have a mathematical brain so things like math equations confuse him sometimes, sob. But he's the type to sit in the back of the classroom and suffer in confusion alone (though pre-canon he probably would have asked for help so he would have gotten better grades then).

I don't think that he's a very good artist, either. His strong suit is words due to how much he reads, but I don't think he'd be a good writer. He'd spend too long analyzing his own creative flaws and never get it done.

If you gave him a thing of clay and told him to make something that was important to him, he'd stare at you like you're crazy or something, think about making Hiyoko and then realize it'd look so bad, then give up and make a book. sob.
